Welcome to OpenGlob. We build a connected ecosystem of modern web applications designed to work seamlessly together under a single identity. We recognize that to build an open, intelligent, and connected world, we must first build a foundation of unwavering trust.

This Privacy Policy explains how OpenGlob ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, securely stores, and protects your information when you use our website https://openglob.com, OpenGlob Accounts, OpenGlob Tasks, and any other services, applications, or features offered within the OpenGlob ecosystem (collectively, the "Services").

1. Information We Collect

We intentionally limit the data we collect to what is strictly necessary to provide, secure, and improve our Services.

  • Account Identity Information: When you register for an OpenGlob Account, we collect your email address, your name, and an optional profile avatar.
  • Security Credentials: We collect your password and generating a unique recovery key. Note: We never store passwords or recovery keys in plain text. All authentication credentials are fundamentally transformed using one-way cryptographic hashing before they ever reach our databases.
  • Service Data: When you use OpenGlob applications (such as OpenGlob Tasks or future applications), we process the content you create, such as task titles, priorities, and group categorizations.
  • Device and Telemetry Data: We collect basic, non-identifying operational data such as browser type, device type, general location (via IP address), and session activity. This helps us monitor platform stability, optimize routing, and detect malicious login attempts.

2. How We Store and Secure Your Data

Security is integrated into our architecture from the ground up. We utilize a phased infrastructure approach to ensure your data remains resilient and secure.

  • Current Cloud Infrastructure: Our databases currently utilize secure, enterprise-grade managed cloud infrastructure provided by industry-leading third parties. Access to our database layers is strictly partitioned using isolated, private Service Accounts. No public access to these data layers exists.
  • Cryptographic Protection: Any sensitive identity data—specifically your password and your recovery key—is subjected to rigorous cryptographic hashing before storage. Because of this zero-knowledge architecture, OpenGlob personnel cannot view, retrieve, or reverse-engineer your password or recovery key.
  • Local Device Storage: To maximize speed and privacy, certain OpenGlob features (such as the "Daily Plan" within OpenGlob Tasks) utilize your device’s local storage. This data is processed locally on your hardware, is strictly temporary, and is not transmitted to our persistent cloud databases.
  • Infrastructure Roadmap: As the OpenGlob ecosystem scales, our infrastructure is designed to evolve continuously. We maintain a strict engineering roadmap to transition our data architecture toward proprietary, self-managed Virtual Private Servers (VPS) and dedicated, self-hosted database environments. This ensures our data governance and processing capabilities scale independently alongside our user base.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect strictly to operate our platform:
* To authenticate your identity across the ecosystem via OpenGlob Single Sign-On (SSO).
* To synchronize your service data (e.g., your task lists) seamlessly across your devices.
* To provide customer support and troubleshoot platform anomalies.
* To refine our AI-assisted features (such as task refinement), ensuring they provide accurate formatting and categorization.

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal data. We only share your information in the following highly restricted circumstances:
* Trusted Service Providers: We employ third-party cloud hosting and infrastructure providers to store data and serve our applications. These providers act strictly as data processors on our behalf and are bound by strict confidentiality agreements.
* Legal Compliance: We may disclose your information if we believe in good faith that such action is necessary to comply with legal obligations, enforce our Terms of Service, or protect the rights, property, or safety of OpenGlob, our users, or the public.

5. Your Rights and Controls

Because your OpenGlob Account serves as your master identity, you retain ultimate control over your data. Through the OpenGlob Accounts dashboard, you may:
* Review and update your profile information.
* Manage your active sessions and connected devices.
* Request the deletion of your OpenGlob Account and associated ecosystem data.

6. Policy Updates

As OpenGlob introduces new applications to the ecosystem, this Privacy Policy will be updated to reflect new data processing functionalities. We will notify you of material changes by placing a prominent notice within your OpenGlob Account dashboard or via email.
